Beach Chic — think beach semi-formal or cocktail attire. Strike a balance between a casual dress that can be worn to the beach and a chic dressy option that is standard wedding attire. Lightweight fabrics are ideal — cotton, linen, lightweight silk. For men— linen, cotton or seersucker slacks and an ironed buttoned down shirt, long or short sleeved, tie optional, no jacket required. Credit cards will work most everywhere. Amex might not be accepted in some places. Have US dollars for tips and small incidentals. It is a one for one exchange with Bahamian currency. If you are coming from England, you will need US dollars, as well.
